This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how Seaways Machinery India Private Limited (“Seaways Machinery”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) processes and delivers orders for plastic auxiliary equipment and machinery placed through our Website or through direct enquiry. Given the industrial nature of our Products, delivery arrangements differ from standard consumer goods and are detailed below.
Order Processing
- Orders are processed only after receipt of a confirmed order and the applicable advance payment as per the proforma invoice.
- Once your order is confirmed, our team will share an estimated dispatch and delivery timeline.
- Made-to-order and customised machinery requires manufacturing lead time, which will be communicated at the time of order confirmation.
Delivery Coverage
- We deliver across India. Delivery to your location is arranged through reputable road-freight and transport partners suited to heavy industrial equipment.
- For export / international enquiries, please contact us directly to discuss feasibility, documentation, and freight arrangements.
Delivery Timelines
- Delivery timelines are estimates only and depend on the Product model, capacity, level of customisation, and your delivery location.
- We will make reasonable efforts to meet estimated timelines but shall not be liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control.
Freight, Transport, and Charges
- Unless otherwise agreed in writing, prices are quoted on an Ex-Works / FOR [dispatch location] basis, and freight, transport, loading/unloading, and insurance charges are additional.
- Freight charges are calculated based on the size, weight, and destination of the machinery and will be included in your quotation or invoice.
Transit Risk and Insurance
- Machinery is packed appropriately for safe transport. However, risk in the Products passes to the Customer upon dispatch / handover to the transporter, unless otherwise agreed.
- We recommend arranging transit insurance for high-value machinery. Insurance can be arranged on request at additional cost.
Delivery Inspection
- Please inspect all Products at the time of delivery in the presence of the transporter.
- Any visible damage, shortage, or discrepancy must be noted on the delivery document and reported to us in writing within [48 hours] of receipt, along with supporting photographs.
- Claims reported after this period may not be accepted.
Installation and Commissioning
- Installation and commissioning services may be provided as agreed at the time of purchase. Any associated charges, travel, or site-readiness requirements will be communicated in advance.
- The Customer is responsible for ensuring the site, power supply, and foundation are ready as per our specifications prior to installation.
Delays and Force Majeure
We shall not be responsible for delivery delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including transport disruptions, strikes, natural events, supply shortages, or government restrictions.
Incomplete or Failed Delivery
If delivery cannot be completed due to an incorrect address, unavailability of the recipient, or lack of site readiness, any additional transport, storage, or redelivery charges will be borne by the Customer.
